A Doctor Who Speaks Equestrian

Dr. Barbara Blasko — Founder & CEO

Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician with 22 years of experience across multiple Emergency Departments in the United States. Specialties include Emergency Medicine, telemedicine, Utilization Management, and biomedical informatics.

An amateur horsewoman and active show-jumping competitor on the west-coast hunter/jumper circuits, Dr. Blasko combined her passions to found ShowMD — staffing every clinic with medical professionals who ride.

At ShowMD, we prioritize a comfortable experience for our patients, continuity of care, and medical staff specifically trained to understand the needs, wants, and language of equestrian athletes.

The Beginning

A Backpack & A Mission

Dr. Blasko started helping the California horse show community on the fly — just a doctor with a backpack and a passion for equestrian athletes.

Growth

The Mobile Medical Unit

ShowMD created its first Mobile Medical Unit, bringing professional-grade equipment directly to the show grounds.

Expansion

X-Ray Capability Added

A second mobile unit was added with full X-ray capability — because equestrian injuries don't wait for office hours.

ShowMD celebrated the opening of its first permanent clinic location at Desert International Horse Park, with new venue builds and east coast locations on the horizon.
